Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a suitably qualified Business Manager to take on a varied role assisting the Head of Wholesale Banking andwider team;focussingonrisk and governance, strategy,change initiatives, along with managing our sector support& data functions.

As a keylinking-pinbetween Wholesale and wider IBAL local andglobal teams, this senior role suits anorganised, hands-on collaborator with confidence; someone who canalign strategic prioritiesand regulatory obligations. From leading and managing a small team of Chapter Lead and CJE, to owning Wholesale Bank data, working with transformation and finance re budgets, benefit realisation and action tracking, there is plenty of scope here!

What you’ll do

  • Accountable for Business Management and strategic delivery initiatives for Wholesale Banking Australia. 

  • Regulatory risk, governance, controls (incl. chairing WB Risk and Governance forum)

  • Support Accountability Framework compliance

  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of Chapter Lead and Customer Journey experts

  • Change and delivery roadmap, working with the transformation and IT delivery office, global tribe leads to deliver

  • Responsible for benefit realisation, action tracking and delivery of initiatives. Budgeting and cost centre management

  • Develop, influence and coordinate the Wholesale Banking data strategy acting as data owner, responsible for data quality, architecture, and remediation

  • Provide oversight and guidance of the Sector Support analyst team, managingsector revenue, NPS and client surveys

  • Write and review submissions for Committees and the IBAL Board and, in some instances, act as delegate for the Head of Wholesale Banking

  • Overseeing internal/External audits

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years previous business management experience at senior level and / or experience in Operational Risk management within financial institutions 

  • Institutional banking products and banking operations experience

  • Strong understanding of Operational Risk & Governance as it relates to the wholesale banking business. Ideally, sound understanding of accountability frameworks and compliance

  • High level of self- motivation and professionalism with ability to multi-task 

  • Assessment: works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on 

  • Data governance: is able to develop a data strategy, maintain governance, adhere to policies and represent Wholesale Banking in the Data committees. This includes managing any AI use cases

  • Policy and procedures: works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on developing, monitoring, interpreting and understanding policies and procedures, while making sure they match strategy and objectives

  • Presentation skills: communicates with other people without requiring supervision and provides technical guidance when required on speaking in a clear, concise and compelling manner
