The team

You’ll be part of the Trainee Management team, a small and dynamic group of three trainee managers within the Circle Talents & Career in HR Netherlands. The team is responsible for the selection and supervision of trainees in the ING International Talent Programme. You’ll work closely with trainees, colleagues from the business, and various HR teams. The team culture is open, collaborative, and encourages initiative and creativity.

Roles and responsibilities

As an intern, you’ll be involved in a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Supporting the selection process for new trainees by coordinating with trainee managers, campus recruiters, and current trainees
  • Organizing onboarding events in April and October, as well as other in-person and virtual events throughout the year
  • Taking ownership of event planning from start to finish, including communication, logistics, budgeting, and execution
  • Managing administrative tasks, such as training registrations and data checks in various systems
  • Creating visual materials, such as presentations and planning documents, and supporting with agenda management
  • Contributing to the Internship Board, where you’ll collaborate with other interns to organize workshops, events, and meet-ups for all ING interns

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a hands-on mentality and enjoys taking initiative
  • Is skilled in planning and organizing events
  • Is accurate and detail-oriented in their work
  • Communicates effectively in both Dutch and English
  • Has an affinity with talent development and selection
  • Is currently enrolled at a Dutch HBO or university and has a WO thinking and working level

We are looking for an intern to start in February 2026, preferably for a period of six months (36 hours per week). An earlier start date can be discussed.

During your internship at ING, you must be enrolled at a Dutch educational institution (or an EU institution if you hold an EU passport) for the entire duration of the internship.
