The Digital Investment Products team is responsible for Self Invest, Easy Invest and Pension Investing. The multidisciplinary team consists of product managers and growth specialists. Together with OneInvestments, global product owners, marketing and sales teams, the cluster drives sustainable growth while ensuring a safe, compliant and operationally sound product portfolio.

Your role and responsibilities

As Product Lead Digital Products, you lead the team responsible for the growth and local stewardship of ING’s digitally offered investment products in the Netherlands. You set direction for this portfolio, drive commercial performance and go-to-market execution, and ensure that shared product and platform capabilities translate into customer value and business results in the Dutch market.

We are looking for an inspiring team lead who combines commercial drive with sound product judgement.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of 7 product management and growth professionals;
  • Shape and execute the growth strategy for Self Invest, Easy Invest and Pension Invest, including target setting, performance steering and prioritisation of commercial opportunities;
  • Lead integrated go-to-market execution across campaigns and owned digital channels (app/web/email), together with Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Digital Sales and the relevant Retail segments;
  • Use customer, market, competitor and performance insights to improve acquisition, conversion, activation, assets under management, customer activity, retention and satisfaction;
  • Act as the principal local business counterpart for OneInvestments and global product owners, representing Dutch customer, commercial, regulatory and operational needs and driving effective local adoption of shared capabilities;
  • Maintain an end-to-end view of the customer journeys for digital investment products, and initiate local improvements where these create material customer or commercial value;
  • Ensure effective local product stewardship, including product expertise, product reviews, governance, regulatory change, risk and control topics, operational continuity and product-related incident handling;
  • Create alignment and accountability across product, marketing, sales, operations, risk, compliance, legal, technology and global stakeholders; and
  • Contribute to the strategy, performance and transformation of Investments Growth NL, including AI-powered ways of working.

How to succeed

You are a natural team lead who creates direction, accountability and trust. You combine a commercial and customer-focused mindset with the judgement required to manage investment products responsibly. You are comfortable operating in a matrix environment and can mobilise senior stakeholders across local and global teams.

Your profile, you:

  • have extensive knowledge of and passion for investments;
  • have a strong commercial, digital-first and data-driven mindset;
  • understand product management, go-to-market execution and regulated product governance;
  • can translate strategy into measurable results across digital journeys and multiple distribution channels;
  • are an inspiring people leader who develops professionals from different disciplines;
  • can influence senior stakeholders and align local and global priorities;
  • combine strategic judgement with a hands-on “take it on and make it happen” mentality; and
  • understand how AI can improve commercial decision-making, customer engagement and team productivity.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in banking, investments or another highly regulated consumer financial-services environment;
  • Proven experience leading a product, marketing, growth or commercial team in a digital environment, with a track record of achieving commercial results;
  • Clear and credible communication in English; Dutch language capability and knowledge of the Dutch investment market are preferred; and
  • Master’s-level working and thinking ability.

Don’t worry if you do not meet all the criteria. If you feel you might be a good fit for this position, we would love to hear from you. Please provide a cover letter telling us your story.
