Mission

The core of the Tech Services Management team is to support the ING Tech management in running technology as a business, by understanding ING’s Bank and technology strategy and aligning the investments in technology. The team is providing advice on making decisions on the effective and efficient suppliers contracting in line with the ING bank and technology strategy and internal ING control policies and full insight on the drivers for technology strategy and get same understanding of partnership strategies and suitable suppliers, while ensuring the existing governance guidelines are supported by clear processes.

Your day to day

The Tech Budget Manager will manage activities related to Tech budget planning and execution with the aim of improving Tech financial performance. You will ensure that budgets are properly managed, drivers are well understood and risks of misplacing investments are minimized.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as single point of contact between Tech organization and Finance department;
  • Create awareness around Finance topics and financial implications on any decision;

  • Develop and use Business Cases for evaluation of investment proposals;

  • Maintain close working relationships with internal Tech stakeholders;

  • Drive the Tech budgeting and forecasting processes;

  • Identify drivers of Tech budget and leaver for budget management;

  • Prepare regular (monthly) financial reports based on input received from Finance department, to control the execution status of Tech budget;

  • Monitor Tech expenses, analyse Tech financial data and propose corrective actions for budget deviations;

  • Evaluate and manage Tech financial risk;

What you bring to the team

  • University degree (accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field);

  • Work experience: at least 5 years in Management Accounting/Financial Analysis/Business Partnering. Prior experience with Tech organizations financial management is a plus;

  • Excellent analytical skills;

  • Outstanding mathematical skills;

  • Helicopter view ability;

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills in English and Romanian;

  • High attention to detail;

  • Organisational skills;

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;

  • Ability to work with little guidance, in a complex environment, under pressure;

  • Creative thinking;
