The Team

Corporate Sector Coverage works closely with the Sector Head and product specialists across ING to deliver integrated financial solutions to corporate clients. We pride ourselves on a strong team culture, combining sector expertise, commercial focus, and collaboration to achieve sustainable growth and long-term client partnerships.

Roles and Responsibilities:

This is a senior, client-facing role where you will take ownership of key relationships, originate new business opportunities, and deliver tailored financial solutions, while contributing to sector strategy and team leadership:

Client Relationship Management & Business Development:

  • Manage, maintain, and grow a portfolio of corporate clients with full budget responsibility

  • Acquire new clients in line with ING’s targeting strategy

  • Identify business opportunities and deliver tailored financial solutions

  • Sell and cross-sell the full range of ING corporate banking products

Strategy & Commercial Contribution:

  • Support the Sector Head in defining and executing sector strategy and tactical plans

  • Contribute to broader bank strategy development

  • Ensure profitability while balancing risk considerations

Performance, Risk & Governance:

  • Maintain high-quality credit portfolio management

  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and procedures

  • Deliver timely responses to client requests and honour commitments

  • Uphold strong data quality and operational standards

Leadership & Collaboration

Coach and mentor junior team members

Delegate effectively and support team development

Act as back-up to the Sector Head when required

Collaborate across teams and represent the sector internally with credibility

How to Succeed:

  • 5+ years’ experience in corporate banking or a similar environment

  • Strong knowledge of banking products and financial markets

  • Proven relationship management and business development skills

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field

  • Fluent in English
