The CTO Finance team aims to support the Global CTO organization to make robust business decisions based on our analysis and advices. The CTO organization is at the core of delivering our strategy to build a leading digital bank.

The CTO Finance team is a small department, which will allow you to get exposure to senior managers of CTO. We think every day about how we can do things smarter, so we can spend our time on where we make the most impact: advising the business.

Job Overview

The current role for which we are looking for a new hands on/flexible business controller in the domain of Tech/Finance & Risk (F&R) with focus on Finance & Procurement and Risk. And you need to flexible to step in as a business controller in other domains like RBT (Retail Banking & Technology). It’s also important to coordinate the activities for VAT reclaim for F&R, People & Hubs (P&H), CISO and RBT. It will be a pre if you want to work with AI to automate some recurring accounting processes.

We understand you can only be an exceptional finance business partner if you use financial and non-financial data, qualitative insight, weaved all together to give the true story behind the numbers.

Responsibilities

  • Sparring partner for senior management in strategic and tactical decision making
  • Provide reports and analysis in a timely manner to support management decisions. Especially about the FTE targets at P&H and about thinking creatively about cost saving opportunities.
  • Advise on all matters concerning operational efficiency, cost modelling, allocation, financial planning and control
  • Follow cost trends and adjust Rolling Forecast periodically
  • Perform run-rate analysis, advise on cost efficiency opportunities and prepare business cases for Change programs
  • Reporting and analysis (vs. Plan) of Actual spend using standard dashboards and other tools
  • Full control of costs (P&L) and FTEs, including the review & approval of requisitions, cost charging and analytical review
  • Implementation of organization structure changes (i.e. Info Memos, RFAs, budget transfers)
  • Review and advise on Balance Sheet positions, including restructuring n and impairment testing as/when required

Key Capabilities/Experience & Minimum Qualifications

Furthermore, you have:

  • Academic degree in Finance or Economics
  • 3-5 years of experience in a financial advice position in Financial Institution/3–5 years of experience in a financial advisory, FP&A, or reporting role.
  • Experience with relevant MI systems
  • You have experience in translating analyses into advice to be given
  • You have strong knowledge of MS office, including Powerpoint to be able to build powerful presentations
  • You have the ambition to combine in-depth knowledge of the business and its financial recognition and translate this into advice to improve the performance of WB
  • You ensure collaboration and effective interaction with many internal stakeholders
  • You are convincing, strong in problem analysis, innovative and pragmatic
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a financial advisory, FP&A, or reporting role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, SQL, Power Query, and Advanced Excel.
  • Familiarity with enterprise performance management tools like SmartView, Hyperion, Essbase, or TM1.
  • Proven ability to build reports from scratch and present findings effectively.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to create clear and compelling PowerPoint presentations to communicate financial insights.
