Job Description

The Dev Engineer (Frontend) is accountable for development and maintenance of the new web application and app, using the latest technologies. In this role, following functional and technical analysis, you ensure the implementations that comply with the standards relating to perfomance, security and code maintainability, with respect of time and budget during all phases. Key Responsibilities

  • Application development according to ING Bank standards
  • Work with project teams to ensure adherence with the solution design according to Designer, Business analyst, Architect, Release & Configuration Team and the Application manager
  • Develop source code and perform Unit Test
  • Work with Release and Configuration teams in order to manage code sourcing in the right way, merge code and resolve code conflicts in time
  • Follow bug-fixing during test phase (SIT and UAT)
  • Follow Production issue resolution in production environment
  • Delivery defect analysis in order to measure and recognize the goodness of solution design
  • Check and give feedback on functional and technical analysis
  • Manage communication and escalation processes when required

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience in the same role in a 24/7 environment preferably within banking sector
  • Proven skills in the Agile way of working
  • Proven experience in application development with HTML5, CSS3, Javascript
  • Proven experience in application development with Angular / React
  • Knowledge of Javascript unit / component test frameworks
  • Good knowledge of issue and code versioning tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Azure, Git)
  • Excellent knowledge of digital channels
  • Good knowledge of IT Technologies
  • Good English level (written and spoken)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

Nice to have

  • Experience in application development with REST architecture
  • Knowledge on web components development
  • Knowledge of Java programming language
  • Knowledge of Spring Framework and its several modules (core, boot, web, mvc, data, security and more)
  • Knowledge of DBMS and SQL (Oracle, PL/SQL)
