Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Originate new TS business opportunities for corporate clients in Hong Kong and China-parented corporate clients globally, as well as grow the existing business for ING.
  • Lead regular pitching at client meetings including market updates and potential options / solutions.
  • Responsible for structuring and pricing of new Trade Finance, Working Capital Solution and PCM deposits.
  • Work closely with Sectors to identify target clients and map out transaction services account strategies
  • Maintain active dialogues with stakeholders including trade operations, TS product management, structuring team and legal teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Independently derive, drive and support trade finance and PCM portion campaigns and sales initiatives
  • Review and provide input on legal documentation – receivables purchase agreements, risk participation agreements, payment service agreements, Trade Finance facilities etc.
  • Oversee/ conduct transaction due diligence / reviews to ensure information provided is in line with the bank’s understanding.
  • Oversee transactions booked locally, escalating in a timely manner and obtaining approvals for deviations as necessary.
  • Supporting other TS Sales team members across Asia Pacific and around the world.
  • Always act in accordance with ING’s policies and procedures and ensure all activities are managed within the appropriate risk, controls, and regulatory parameters of the bank
  • Fulfilling other responsibilities as specified from time to time by the Head of TS, Greater China

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline
  • Over 10 years of experience in Transaction Banking, with strong expertise in trade finance, supply chain finance solutions, and cash management, including deal structuring and documentation
  • Proven track record in marketing inbound and outbound transaction banking solutions to corporate clients, with measurable results
  • Experienced in engaging with MNCs, top-tier SOEs, and POEs across Greater China
  • Highly energetic, hands-on, and self-motivated with a strong drive to grow the business
  • Skilled in managing complex RFPs within large global financial institutions
  • Strong collaboration and networking abilities across geographies
  • Excellent communication skills; fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
  • Solid understanding of credit risk and deal structuring
  • Customer-first mindset
