ING is looking to recruit a Product Owner for Global HR (GHR) Assets within Global People Services domain, reporting to the GHR Chief Data Officer within the Data and Asset Management team.

Overview:

The ING Global HR vision is building the craftmanship and the engagement of our people to deliver on the purpose and strategy of ING. The Data & Asset Management team within HR Global People Services is critical to ensure roll out of ING’s Global Data Management Strategy across the HR function and ensure appropriate continuity, maintenance, change management and controls over GHR owned assets and applications; fostering governed and compliant activities and promoting system standardisation to enable operational excellence and enhance employee experience.

What you will do / support:

· The Product Owner for GHR Assets develops the product (IT asset, service) vision and defines the roadmap of the product to maximize business value through ordering and prioritization of the Product Backlog under consideration of relevant stakeholder needs.

· Manage demand and drive change management process and backlog for global HR systems in order to maximise business value with minimal disruption to IT services.

· Collate and conduct initial analysis of change requests, ingestion requirements and ETL jobs diagnosis of underlying issues and design of single solutions with delivery squads.

· Coordinate Squad work applying Agile WoW methodology, prioritising workflow (product backlog) and ensure squad delivery is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality and timeliness; using performance management systems to monitor and improve delivery of functional and non-functional jobs and features

· Align with IT Service Manager; Feature Engineers and Business Analysts on Service Level

· Agreements agreed with suppliers and business clients (internal and external)

· Respond to basic issue escalations promptly and appropriately; providing recommendation and steering or gathering approvals from line Management and/or Asset Owners when required (specially in case of conflicts on Timelines, Budget or Functionalities)

· Provide a quality service to counterparts and defined stakeholders, identifying improvement opportunities. Responsibilities may include processing cases, dealing with complex queries and investigating and resolving operational issues.

· Identify improvement to products or services that best meet user requirements, using personal expertise to propose improvements on integrations and process configuration

· Act as 1st Line of Defense on Risk Management on products owned, following the appropriate procedures to assess and support mitigation of non-financial risk

· Actively align with suppliers with respect to innovation and regular updates/releases of the products/systems administrated

· Participate in Governance boards (e.g. Design Authority; Change Control Board) to facilitate decision making on changes and priority setting

· Ensure stakeholder alignment on user acceptance and advice the Asset Owner on change acceptance

· Support and enable execution of HR Transformation objectives; finding harmonised ways to deliver on run activities whilst enabling project implementation.

Knowledge and experience expected

· Tertiary education

· At least 5 years of relevant working experience as Product Owner (with project management experience) in a data management discipline (data migrations, data infrastructure, data lineage) Knowledge of HR global applications; especially Workday (foundation process) and Data Lake environments is highly desired.

· Ability to steer within a complex international environment and organisational structures, being capable of driving delivery by influencing others, coordinating virtual teams and applying Agile methodology

· Identifying and controlling technical and project risks and facilitate issue resolution, liaising with management within and outside formal organisation

· Good understanding of process modeling, change management principles, business process outsourcing operations, performance indicators and relevant HR experience are a plus We are looking for the following competencies

· Excellent English communication skills and ability to craft recommendations into the business language of the relevant stakeholders

· The ability to speak confidently on technical subjects and system functional and non-functional

· A high degree of personal motivation, resilience and the ability to work in a high pressure environment

· Results Orientation as evidenced by a track record of delivering solutions which routinely exceed the business process expectations.

· Strategic Orientation: ability to understand the business context in which the system solutions are being developed and designed to ensure alignment with relevant overall strategic, data management and IT strategies.

· Collaboration and Influencing: demonstrate ability to build meaningful relationships in a large and complex enterprise across functions, levels and geographic borders.
