Solliciteer

At Group Treasury, we play a central role in safeguarding ING’s balance sheet, liquidity and funding profile, while enabling sustainable growth of our businesses. We are looking for a Treasury Manager Money Markets to strengthen our Liquidity Management & Money Markets (LM&MM) team in Amsterdam.

This role sits close to decision‑making, markets and senior stakeholders. You will work across short and long‑term funding, liquidity management and interest rate risk, combining market expertise with balance sheet insight. The scope of the role has remained stable over time, but the context continues to evolve, offering ample room for professional growth, impact and leadership. We value diverse perspectives and believe inclusive teams make better decisions.

The Team

Based in Amsterdam (Dealing Room), you work closely with colleagues across ING’s international network, partnering with second-line functions, business teams and external stakeholders in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

You will join an international, highly professional team where collaboration, knowledge‑sharing and continuous improvement are key.

Roles and responsibilities

As a Treasury Manager Money Markets, you will:

  • Price Money Market and FX products for internal and external stakeholders across currencies and tenors, within the FTP and match‑funding frameworks.

  • Actively manage short‑term liquidity, funding and cash positions, with a strong focus on diversification by product, tenor and counterparty.

  • Monitor financial markets, liquidity conditions, volatility and pricing dynamics, translating market developments into balance‑sheet action.

  • Manage and analyse liquidity metrics, cash‑flow profiles and regulatory ratios (short‑ and long‑term).

  • Optimise financial performance of the funding and liquidity books, balancing economic value, IFRS results and risk appetite.

  • Design and execute hedging strategies (incl. macro cash‑flow hedging, interest rate and basis risk hedging).

  • Contribute to interest rate risk management using derivatives and other instruments.

  • Produce and interpret management information, such as liquidity reports, risk dashboards, pricing updates and P&L insights.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the behavioural dynamics of ING’s balance sheet beyond regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Work closely with Finance, Financial Risk, Wholesale Banking and Retail, acting as a trusted sparring partner and advisor.

  • Proactively assess the impact of regulatory developments, organisational changes and Treasury projects on daily operations.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working, and contribute to shaping future Treasury set‑ups.

How to succeed

We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our biggest expectation is that you’ll stay curious. Keep learning. Take on responsibility. In return, we’ll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself.

We are looking for a team member with the following knowledge and experience:

  • Experience or strong affinity with Money Markets, funding, liquidity and balance‑sheet management within Group Treasury, Financial Markets or a comparable environment, with understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and market developments into clear insights and balance‑sheet actions.

  • Digitally savvy, with experience in working with Excel and data tools and a growing interest in data‑driven and AI‑enabled ways of working.

  • Proactive and structured, comfortable taking ownership, exercising sound judgement and operating effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong communicator and collaborative team player, able to engage confidently with a broad range of stakeholders.
