Product Lead Investment Engine

Apply now

This is your opportunity to be at the heart of our global investment strategy and shape the future of investment services.

We are looking for a strategic, results-oriented leader with a pragmatic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and deep expertise in digital product development. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can transform back-office investment operations into scalable, automated solutions.

The team

You will report to the Global Proposition Owner – Platform and be based in Amsterdam. You’ll join a collaborative, forward‑thinking environment where different perspectives are valued and where strategic thinking directly connects to execution. You’ll work close to the heart of ING’s global investment vision and play a central role in enabling our leadership to deliver on key ambitions.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Lead the rollout of the OneInvestments Platform by addressing complex strategic challenges and balancing global standards with local customer needs.
  • Apply your expertise in investment back‑office processes, automation, sourcing, Blackbelt, and value chain cost optimization to deliver new features and drive transformation across multiple countries.
  • Design scalable, modular digital products that reduce the need for country‑specific customization.
  • Lead a cross‑functional team of tech and business professionals, set the direction for the Investments Back‑End Engine, and continuously improve related procedures across propositions.
  • Support country teams as they integrate the Investments Engine into their local environments, and proactively identify opportunities to create synergies across markets.
  • Transform and enhance investment procedures while ensuring platform reliability, compliance, and seamless integration between front‑end innovation and diverse backend systems.
  • Maintain strong customer satisfaction (NPS, CSAT) and deliver high product performance—directly contributing to the success of our investment propositions.
  • Stay current with legal and regulatory developments and translate them into practical, customer‑centric improvements.
  • Work closely with global and local teams to ensure alignment on strategy, priorities, and execution.

How to succeed

  • You hold a Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • You have several years of experience in investments or the broader financial sector.
  • You bring strong strategic thinking and natural leadership qualities.
  • You are skilled in stakeholder management, digitalization, backlog management, and resource planning.
  • You can make complex topics easy to understand for different audiences.
  • You have an excellent command of English (must) and Dutch (strong plus).
  • You are currently residing in the Netherlands.
