SRE leads engineers by example, meaning you’ll need

  • Proficient software/system engineering skills
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Ambition and drive to impact 2000 engineers, a complex landscape and processes
  • Knowledge on Observability practices
  • Knowledge in AI for operations
  • Experience in cloud native API services
  • Capable in delivering continuous improvement projects

As a chapter lead, you will have the opportunity to:

The team

The SRE BE department reports to the CIO and drives reliability for all ING Belgium critical business services (including top sales and servicing journeys). Each of the six teams in SRE works closely together yet focus on a specific practice. The Observability team makes the IT landscape stronger to maintain availability of service through making every observability signals meaningful.

Activities range from performing Observability maturity reviews, working on observability data, making global monitoring templates available in collaboration with Tech Engineering & Reliability on Group level, guiding DevOps teams to apply best practices, leading projects to improved resilience (for example: reviewing a complete online flow available to our customer and make it more resilient and reliable), developing our AI for operations roots …

The team consists of varied experts in different fields including system engineering, data science and processes.
