The Mission

You will work in an international environment within the Data Protection Compliance, the Data Protection Policy & Advisory team forms together with the Global Data Protection Risk Management team the vertical Data Protection Compliance. 

You will be a part of Data Protection & Advisory team, working with colleagues all over the world and have the freedom to organize your work according to your own insights within the team setting. There is room for personal development and further growth in this position.

The Data Protection Compliance  team is in Amsterdam and Bucharest, occasional travelling to Amsterdam is therefore part of the function.

Your day to day

  • Provide advise in case of questions from the organisation on the AI obligations as well as the internal framework; provide advice as part of AI pipeline check and challenge activites;
  • Informs, advises, monitors compliance with legislation, regulation, standards and internal frameworks on protection of personal data, including managing internal activities as well as training of staff;
  • Offer specialized data protection support, advice and challenge during the contracting lifecycle of service provision agreements, collaborations, partnerships and other types of data exchanges that contain a personal data processing component;
  • Is involved in contracting phases of a service provision, collaboration or data exchange set up leads to  processing of personal data in order to support adequate allocation of processing risk, identify risks, steer contract adjustments where necessary, including by interacting with third party, provide advice on monitoring escalations, manage 2lod advice and scrutiny on third party data breaches and associated risk management activities;
  • Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments with regards to interplay GDPR and AI or emerging issues and evaluate their potential impact on, or usefulness to the organization;
  • Optimize AI risk journey as lessons learned from use cases are applied for improvement;
  • Offer specialized data protection support in the event of security incidents which lead to a data breach at the level of the service provider;  operational changes affecting the process flows of a service provider which have a material impact on personal data processing contractual commitments or safety of the companies data.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • 5+ years of experience as DPO advisory and Tech/AI;
  • University degree (tech/legal)and GDPR certification;
  • Proficient in English (written and verbal).
