SRE Engineer in Data Analytics

The expected salary for this position: 13 000 - 28 000 PLN

We are looking for you if you:

  • are familiar with SRE concepts,
  • have experience with distributed systems and clusters for Big Data,
  • are experienced with monitoring and observability,
  • have automation background based on Azure DevOps repositories and pipelines,
  • can analyse, solve and correct issues.

Minimal Required English level - B2

You'll get extra points for:

  • experience in one or more technologies like: Kubernetes, Alluxio, MinIO, Hive, Superset, Volcano, Prometheus, Grafana,
  • Python or Golang coding skills,
  • experience with building distributed, large scale and secure applications,
  • experience working in Google Cloud Platform,
  • contribution to open-source projects,
  • willingness to migrate to the Google world soon.

Your responsibilities:

  • building and keeping platform and supporting its tenants,
  • support for exploration and execution project types,
  • support the transition from IPC to GCP within Global AI and Data Platforms,
  • data analytics platform components maintenance and life-cycle management
  • support in resolving major platform incidents if they occur (24/7 in rotation, 1 week per month, 2nd line support),
  • set up and manage monitoring systems to ensure platform health and performance,
  • ensure that project and analytics environment management is fully self-service via the DAP portal.

Site Reliability Engineering in Data Analytics Platform

Data Analytics Platform - OnPrem is the self-service to bring services to ING tenants at scale and in an automated manner. The goal of this team is to make the management of projects and analytics environment fully self-service via the DAP portal. You will manage system reliability and availability, monitoring systems and many more.

As SRE, you will help develop the data-driven products that the Global AI & Data Platforms organization builds.

Within the organization, we use agile, lean and design thinking methodologies to launch new initiatives within or outside of ING.

ING is now building its Data Analytics Platform in Google Cloud! It is to help ING to be even more data driven. This is a joined effort between ING units, and you are going to be part of a distributed multi-national and multi-cultural team. There is plenty of work and fun down this road.

The Global AI & Data Platforms organization is composed of around 300 people that have the mission to make ING data driven. We do this by combining UX research and engineering with data science to deliver high-value solutions and products for our organization. We work in a fun and creative environment, and we are dedicated to bringing out the best in both each other and our projects. We have offices in Amsterdam (head office), Warsaw, Katowice, and Bucharest.
