Financial Markets Sales

6-month internship beginning in March 2026, Luxembourg

Your role & work environment

We are seeking a motivated and analytical individual to join our Financial Markets Sales team as a Trainee. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting institutional clients and contributing to the development of tailored financial solutions.

You will work in the dealing room of ING in Luxembourg, as part of the Financial Markets Sales team. You will work with different teams internally and assist the team in servicing institutional clients.

Financial Markets Sales team is part of the FM Sales franchise of ING, covering clients of different type (Business Banking, Wholesale banking and Financial Institutions) within more than 25 locations to service our clients.

Your key responsibilities

Assist senior sales professionals in servicing institutional clients (banks, asset managers, corporates, etc.)
Support the execution and follow-up of trades across asset classes (FX, rates, equities, etc.)
Prepare market updates, client presentations, and sales pitches
Monitor financial markets and analyze macroeconomic trends
Collaborate with structuring, trading, and research teams to deliver client-centric solutions
Maintain and update CRM tools and client databases
Contribute to internal projects and initiatives aimed at improving sales processes

We look for

A candidate with a talent for taking it on and making ithappen, enthusiasm for helping others to be successful and a knack for always being a step ahead. You are a naturally collaborative person who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals.

Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
Strong interest in financial markets and investment products
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg and coding programs
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn
