We are looking for a passionate, self-driven and experienced Financial Controller to join the dynamic Finance Controllers team responsible for management reporting and advice function.

As our Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the whole financial management system of assigned Business Lines in ING Hubs Philippines.

As financial management is crucial for our company's performance, you will play a big role in company's growth and success. 

Key Job Accountabilities: 

Reporting to the Head of Finance Controllership, the Financial Controller is responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

  • Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis
  • Head-office management reporting
  • Business partner for assigned business lines
  • Oversee accounting transactions and report financials for assigned Business Lines
  • Manage quality control over financial transactions and reporting
  • Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Focus on continuous improvements and look for efficiencies in our processes
  • Provide input and advice on proper financial controls to Head of Business Line, Head of Finance Controllership and Chief Finance Officer to support revenue goals and profitability

Education/Experience: 

  • At least 6 or more years of experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
  • 10 years or more of combined experience in accounting and finance 
  • Advanced degree in Accounting
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • Outstanding knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Good understanding of accounting software (PeopleSoft, Planning Analytics)
  • Advanced skills in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • The ability to influence at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Ability to facilitate and lead meetings  
  • Must demonstrate strong organizational and communication as well as stakeholder management skills.
  • Flexible and pragmatic: capable of delivering in a changing environment
