FM Trade Data Control Operations Specialist

WB COO FM is responsible for the correct and timely processing of all Financial Markets products. The WB COO FM organisation consists of several processing “circles” and Expert Teams that are responsible for the overall management and development in their respective areas.

The FM Data Control Operations is a new team within WB COO FM with the goal to deliver short term analyses, solutions and reports of the complete FM trade population on correctness, completeness and accuracy.

As a Consultant Operations you will drive

  • Daily reconciliations of all trade data between all front office, Risk and Position Keeping systems used within ING (Summit, Sophis, ACR, Murex, Calypso, RaceING and more).
  • The investigation and resolution of breaks across the trade lifecycle for FM (OTC) Derivatives products.
  • Prioritize resolution of breaks based on materiality and risk exposure, escalating critical issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with front office, operations and IT to ensure timely resolution of the breaks with the highest impact.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the progress of solutions requiring IT change by way of explaining impact and relevance for the health of the FO and BO reconciliation chain.
  • The administration of the known breaks and the root causes of new breaks to be used for training of the more junior team members.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 2–4 years of evidencable experience in Financial Markets Operations, e.g. in trade reconciliation, collateral or settlement roles within financial institutions.
  • Working experience with or strong knowledge of one or more of the following systems used within ING – Summit, Sophis, ACR, Murex, Calypso, and RaceING.
  • Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle of FM products and the financial impact of the most important trade parameters (e.g., notional, price, direction, dates) on valuation and P&L
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and resolve complex data discrepancies under time pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and geographies.
  • Experience in Data analytics, Robotics, Alteryx or other automation doctrines is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to be a complete and effective counterpart when advocating for priority on solutions requiring IT change.
