About the position:

You will be responsible for creating and managing both internal (e.g., employee engagement, newsletters, internal announcements) and external-facing content (e.g., client campaigns, product messaging, thought leadership). Your work will help ensure a consistent, compelling voice across all touchpoints—reinforcing ING’s position as a trusted partner in Wholesale Banking and a great place to work, learn and grow.

About the department:

ING Americas is seeking a strategic and creative Marketing Content Manager to join our Brand, Marketing & Communications team in New York. This role supports the Wholesale Bank by leading the development and execution of content strategies that strengthen ING’s brand, support business growth, and enhance stakeholder engagement across the Americas region.

Responsibilities:

Internal Communications

  • Partner with the head of Internal communications, HR, leadership, and global internal communications teams to develop and distribute content that informs, inspires, and engages employees.
  • Lead the creation and management of internal newsletters, including content planning, writing, editing, and distribution.
  • Manage and oversee the internal content distribution platforms, such as the intranet
  • Support internal initiatives, and change communications with clear, consistent storytelling.
  • Project manage, provide editorial oversight and support to internal stakeholders creating content while also facilitating knowledge sharing and best practices across business lines.
  • Ensure internal content aligns with ING’s tone of voice and reinforces company culture and values.
  • Support employee engagement campaigns, town halls, and drive feedback mechanisms to support continuous improvement

External Marketing Content

  • Create content that resonates with external audiences (e.g., corporate clients, institutional investors, industry partners).
  • Support the head of marketing in helping to develop and execute a content strategy that supports ING’s brand positioning and business objectives for Wholesale Banking in the Americas.
  • Collaborate across sector and product teams to understand what drives their business and develop content that supports client acquisition, retention, and engagement.
  • Produce thought leadership, product storytelling, and campaign messaging tailored to Wholesale Banking audiences.
  • Assist in managing agency partners and internal resources to deliver high-quality, on-brand content across digital and offline channels.
  • Support external events (conferences, webinars, sponsorships) with content development and promotion.
  • Ensure all content meets regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Support public relations activities by arranging interviews, developing messaging and identifying opportunities to promote spokesperson bench

Performance & Optimization

  • Oversee weekly, quarterly, and annual content calendars to ensure timely and relevant delivery
  • Own our KPI dashboard and work with the team to define KPIs and measurement frameworks for content effectiveness.
  • Use data and insights to continuously improve content quality, relevance, and impact.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in content management, communications, or marketing, preferably in financial services or B2B environments.
  • Ability to translate complex financial topics and value propositions into clear, engaging formats for different channels and audiences
  • Strategic thinker with experience developing and executing content strategies for internal and external audiences.
  • Detail oriented with strong project management skills, including multi-tasking and deadline management.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), intranet tools, and digital asset management platforms.
  • Experience with content analytics and measurement tools.
  • Excellent collaboration and networking skills at all levels of an organization.
  • Budgeting and resource allocation experience is a plus.
  • Graphic design experience is a plus

Salary Range $80,000-102,000
