Reporting to the Portfolio Management Lead this role plays a key role in enabling the organisation to realise maximum value from its investment portfolio, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and driving best‑in‑class delivery practices within a complex, regulated financial services environment.


As a Portfolio Manager, you’ll own and manage your Portfolio operating cadence across annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly reporting, including effective support to governance forums and leadership decision‑making. You will ensure strong financial governance across the portfolio, including oversight of cost, benefit, and resource planning, adoption of agreed guidelines, models, tools, and platforms such as SNOW PPM, while continuously driving improvement across the portfolio.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the Bank including Tribe Leads, program and project managers and delivery capability experts to embed consistent portfolio governance aligned to standards.

What you’ll do …

  • Embed and enforce standards across change initiation, funding, governance, and closure.

  • Partner with and be a trusted advisor for Business, Tribe and Technology leads, providing portfolio insights to support prioritisation, trade-offs and investment decisions

  • Own portfolio reporting and communications using standard tools to clearly show delivery progress to leaders, executives, and global stakeholders.

  • Embed sound financial management practices across project costs, benefits realisation, and identification and reporting of ongoing operating expenses and FTE impacts

  • Build and maintain an integrated portfolio roadmap, highlighting key milestones, critical dependencies, delivery and delivered risk and outcomes across assigned portfolios.

  • Provide forward-looking portfolio insights, identifying risks, trade-offs and opportunities to optimise delivery outcomes

  • Guide Initiative Owners and Delivery Leads through the endtoend delivery lifecycle, supporting mobilisation, governance readiness, and compliant execution.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and uplift of delivery capabilities, including driving enhancements across tools, governance, and ways of working

What we’re looking for….

  • Previous experience within a Transformation or Program Management Office in Financial Services (Banking preferred).

  • Solid expertise in Project and Portfolio Management methodologies, processes, and    governance tools/frameworks.

  • Proven ability to operate beyond core portfolio responsibilities, contributing to broader portfolio uplift, continuous improvement, and enterprise-level initiatives

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience in portfolio cost, benefit and resource management

  • Experience working in Agile and Lean delivery models, with hands‑on delivery experience.

  • Track record of working effectively across large, complex, matrix organisations, with solid stakeholder management and influencing skills.
