Your Tasks

  • As Vice President, you manage and further develop our existing client relationships across the EMEA region, with a particular focus on airlines, leasing companies and aviation-related businesses.
  • You identify and pursue new business opportunities, build trusted relationships with prospective clients and position ING as a leading financial partner within the aviation sector.
  • A key part of the role is identifying and driving cross-buy opportunities. You proactively develop these opportunities and coordinate their execution in close collaboration with international Product and Coverage teams.
  • You play an active role in the structuring and execution of aircraft financing and other aviation sector transactions, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • In this context, you assess clients’ creditworthiness and liquidity, analyse industry and transaction risks, and integrate relevant risk, portfolio and sustainability considerations into the transaction process.
  • To support efficient credit and decision-making processes, you contribute to the preparation of credit applications, committee papers, strategic client plans, as well as risk and portfolio reporting.
  • In short, you take ownership of your client portfolio with confidence and discipline, steering its development with a long-term perspective and a strong focus on sustainable growth, profitable business expansion and responsible risk management.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
  • Several years of experience in relationship management for large corporate clients within a banking environment, with a strong understanding of Corporate and/or Wholesale Banking
  • Experience in the aviation sector or a strong affinity for Aviation Finance
  • Solid understanding of credit processes, risk analysis and structured finance transactions
  • A proactive mindset, strong commercial orientation, entrepreneurial thinking, high initiative and a strong sense of ownership
  • Excellent analytical skills combined with a structured, detail-oriented and reliable working style
  • Confidence in dealing with clients, product partners and internal decision-makers, supported by strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A willingness to learn, curiosity for complex sector-specific topics and a collaborative mindset
  • Open to cultural diversity in an international environment 
  • Fluent written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantage
