As a functional data analyst at ING you will play a crucial role in the data-driven culture. Your work will empower teams and leadership to make smarter, faster, and more impactful choices. 

In this role, you will: 

  • help shaping needed views/data product to answer business questions efficiently. 
  • Design and optimize Power BI data models to deliver high-performing reports and dashboards that drive clarity and efficiency. 
  • Develop, automate and enhance dashboards, ensuring seamless access to insights that fuel innovation and data-driven decision-making across the organization. 
  • Create compelling visualizations that translate complex data into clear, intuitive stories.

Data Modeling and Collaboration:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to deeply understand problem statements and define how data should be transformed, loaded, and presented for maximum impact. 
  • Serve as a strategic link between Business and Data Management. Translating complex business needs into clear data requirements and functional analysis. 
  • Define smart Data Quality Rules in a framework 
  • Test & validate the requested views/data product. 
  • Design and optimize Power BI data models that enable advanced features such as hierarchical filtering and multi-level organizational structures. 

Reporting and Automation:

  • Contribute to the creation of Center of Expertise for Power BI  
  • Develop and automate underlying processes needed for regular  reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually).  
  • Building interactive dashboards/reports that deliver actionable insights.
