Customer Journey Expert – Logic & Rules / Managed Data & NCA

Full-time, Brussels

Be part of a movement to build the backbone of KYC decisioning

Joining Logic & Rules means working at the heart of ING’s KYC foundations. Our squad designs, builds and maintains the logic, rules, risk engines and managed data that enable compliant, scalable, and automated Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes across the bank.

Within this landscape, Managed Data and the NCA platform are two critical assets. Together, they underpin customer risk understanding, lifecycle monitoring and regulatory decisioning across onboarding, periodic reviews and event-driven processes.

What’s in it for you

We offer an environment where you can have a tangible impact on regulatory compliance, automation and large-scale risk management. You will work on foundational assets that are consumed bank-wide, in close collaboration with Business, Compliance, Risk, Architecture and IT engineering teams.

Your impact

Some of the key things you would be doing are:

  • Managed Data ownership– Own the functional design, lifecycle management and evolution of Managed Data tables, ensuring consistent, accurate and policy-compliant data across consuming applications.

  • NCA functional ownership– Contribute to the functional ownership of NCA as a core asset, focusing on lifecycle risk monitoring, rule-based triggers and interaction with downstream CDD processes.

  • Logic & rules design– Translate policy, regulatory requirements and risk frameworks into clear, traceable and deterministic rules implemented across Managed Data and NCA.

  • Risk lifecycle monitoring– Design and maintain logic that detects changes in customer circumstances and triggers appropriate events, reviews or cases via NCA.

  • Data & engine interaction– Define how Managed Data feeds and consumes NCA logic, ensuring alignment between customer data, risk indicators and decision outcomes.

  • Automation & industrialization– Increase straight-through processing by enabling rule-driven determination of data requirements, refresh triggers and lifecycle events, minimizing manual intervention.

  • Change & impact analysis– Assess regulatory changes, audits, incidents or model decisions and translate them into concrete updates todata structures, rules and NCA logic.

  • Stakeholder collaboration– Act as a key liaison between Compliance, Risk, Architects and IT teams to align on NCA, Managed Data and future target-state solutions.

  • Controls, traceability & auditability– Ensure that logic and data decisions are explainable, traceable and support supervisory reviews, audits and iRisk follow-up.

Who we are looking for

To succeed you should have most of the following skills:
