ING Luxembourg is looking for a Lending Wholesale Banking Intern to strengthen its Lending department for a minimum of 6 months.

Please note that only students who can provide a valid internship agreement (school convention) will be considered.

Lending Luxembourg is a Front Office team providing Wholesale Banking Lending services to a broad client base, including Fund Finance, Corporate and Real Estate clients, as well as local subsidiaries of ING’s largest multinational clients.

Your mission

As a Lending WB Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an international banking environment, working closely with colleagues across the ING network. The internship is primarily focused on analytical, portfolio-related and support activities, under close supervision.

You will be involved in the following activities:

  • Working closely with Client Coverage and various product teams to support lending solutions for Wholesale Banking clients
  • Performing client research & financial analysis, contributing to credit assessments and maintaining credit files
  • Supporting portfolio management activities, including credit quality monitoring and preparation of annual reviews in line with internal policies
  • Assisting with documentation review and transaction execution, including due diligence and follow-up

The scope of your responsibilities will evolve gradually, depending on your learning curve, autonomy and ability to take ownership of tasks.

Your profile

Education & experience:

  • Student currently enrolled in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • First experience in banking, credit or finance is considered an asset

Skills & competencies:

  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Strong team player, proactive and solution-oriented
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High motivation and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently while integrating effectively into a team
  • Good IT skills, including Word, Excel and presentation tools
  • Fluency in English is mandatory
  • Knowledge of French, while not required, would be an advantage
