About CMA

CMA was established in 2023 as the single centre of excellence for our advisory business and related financing across ING, incorporating Corporate Finance, Acquisition Finance, Global Capital Markets (incl. Asset Securitization and Ratings Advisory), Corporate Investments and Loan Distribution Group. CMA aims to capture opportunities in our clients’ boardrooms for high value-added fee and advisory services and improve internal alignments to accelerate the strategic ‘must-win’ on capital velocity.

Job Profile Summary

ING Corporate Finance has a team of over 200 professionals based in offices across Europe, Asia and the US. As a key area of growth globally for ING, ING Corporate Finance offers a one-stop-shop solution for Mergers & Acquisitions and Debt Capital Advisory. Our Corporate Finance team in Asia are based in offices across Singapore, Manila and Hong Kong. With our sector focused approach, we bring deep domain expertise across global industries such as Energy, TMT,  Financial Institutions, and Transport and Logistics. As we further build our Corporate Finance capabilities across the APAC region, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals with the attitude and skillset to be part of a highly dynamic and driven advisory team, with a focus on the energy and associated sub-sectors.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for origination efforts across Energy & Infrastructure sectors across APAC.

  • Assist senior team members in originating and marketing initiatives.

  • Lead the development and drafting of marketing materials.

  • Provide support and day-to-day leadership on all aspects of transaction execution.

  • Oversee day-to-day and manage execution of Corporate Finance mandates.

  • Lead the development and drafting of required presentations, documents and financial analysis, including but not limited to bid letters, information memoranda, management presentations, commercial aspects of transaction documents (where applicable) and complex financial models.

  • Provide direction, review and ensure work quality of junior team members.

  • Assist in managing relationship with clients, buyers / investors, other professionals/advisers and relevant authorities.

  • Train, mentor and play a critical role in the development of junior team members.

  • Work closely and collaboratively with other infrastructure sector leads to originate and execute across sector transactions.

  • Adhere to relevant ING policies, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements for Corporate Finance, including timely and satisfactory completion of required regulatory, licensing and Compliance training modules.

  • Closely liaise and work together with other departments within ING to optimally service clients and source opportunities, including but not limited to Sector, Coverage, Debt Capital Market, Structured Acquisition Finance, Financial Markets and Sustainability Finance.

What we're looking for:

  • The Energy team focuses on key sub-sectors such as power, renewables, midstream and downstream, energy transition, waste management primarily across APAC. Any exposure to these sector and specific regions is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree holder, ideally in Business, Economics, Finance, or Advance Mathematics with excellent results. A master’s in business is a plus but not required.

  • Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in Corporate Finance.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in accounting, valuation, complex financial modelling, due diligence and transaction processes.

  • Possess strong analytical skills, methodical and keen attention to detail.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a high pressure environment.

  • Proven record of leading buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, fund raises or Independent Financial Advisory mandates.

  • Self-motivated individual and confident team player with a high degree of initiative and willingness to share knowledge.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
