Inclusion & Engagement Lead

Apply now

At ING, we’re not just a bank—we’re redefining what banking can be. As Australia’s most recommended bank, we’re driven by a simple purpose: empowering people to stay one step ahead in life and in business.

Our culture—known as the “Orange Code”—is built on collaboration, curiosity, and the freedom to be yourself. We bring together diverse perspectives, challenge each other with care, and roll up our sleeves to make things happen, all while having a bit of fun along the way.

This is a pivotal, standalone role at the intersection of Inclusion, Culture, and Engagement. As our Inclusion & Engagement Lead, you’ll take ownership of shaping how our people feel at work—translating data and insights into practical, meaningful strategies that drive real change across the business.

You’ll partner closely with senior leaders while remaining hands-on in execution—rolling up your sleeves to deliver initiatives that embed inclusion into everyday experiences and key moments that matter across the employee lifecycle. A particular focus for this role will be advancing gender diversity, alongside broader inclusion priorities, ensuring measurable and sustainable impact.

At ING, your work has real impact. Whether it’s influencing leadership behaviours, designing inclusive experiences, or building strategies grounded in insight, you’ll play a key role in creating an environment where everyone can do their best work and feel they belong.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and execute the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging strategy, embedding it into people practices and culture
  • Translate data and insights into clear, actionable strategies that deliver measurable outcomes
  • Design and deliver employee experience initiatives that enhance engagement, wellbeing, and belonging
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influencing inclusive leadership and driving cultural change
  • Champion gender diversity initiatives and broader inclusion priorities across the organisation
  • Own and deliver listening strategies (surveys, forums, feedback channels) and turn insights into action

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience leading Inclusion, Diversity, or Engagement programs in a complex organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to turn insights and data into practical, business-driven strategies
  • Comfortable operating in a standalone role with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Passion for advancing inclusion, with a strong interest in driving gender diversity outcomes
  • Resilient, proactive, and comfortable driving change in a fast-paced environment

What’s in it for you?

  • Discounted ING Health Insurance
  • An additional Rest Day to support your wellbeing
  • An IMPACT day to volunteer on approved sustainability activity
