Senior/Expert Finance Advice – Private Individual Segment

Apply now

ING Netherlands is looking for a motivated Senior Expert / Expert Finance to strengthen our Finance Advice team supporting the Private Individuals (PI) and Private Banking(PB) segments. These segments include market‑leading products such as Mortgages, Personal Loans, Current Accounts & Savings, Insurance, and Investments, which jointly represent a material contribution to ING Group’s publicly disclosed financial goals.

In this role, you will act as a Finance Advice (Senior) Expert, taking ownership of the financial steering of your assigned products. Our experts are empowered to drive insights, challenge assumptions, and influence decisions across the value chain. You will support financial analyses, performance insights, pricing assessments, and strategic discussions that shape the future direction of our consumer product portfolio.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Ownership & Insights: Lead financial performance management for PI and PB products, delivering data‑driven insights on KPIs, trends, and portfolio outcomes.
  • Product & Pricing Support: Develop financial analyses, business cases, and pricing proposals; assess incentives and ensure alignment between product strategy and financial targets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Product, Retail, Risk, Finance, and Group teams; prepare clear, senior‑level materials and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Continuous Improvement: Enhance forecasting, reporting, automation, and data quality; drive process simplification, consistency, innovation, and a growth‑mindset culture.

How to Succeed:

  • 3–6 years of experience in Finance, Business Analysis, Product Control, FP&A, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with financial modelling, product profitability, or pricing is a strong plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate with clarity and confidence.
  • A proactive, ownership‑driven mentality — comfortable taking responsibility for your products and results.
  • Experience in retail banking or financial services is preferred.
What We Offer
  • A highly visible role at the heart of ING Netherlands’ PI & PB product strategy, where your insights directly influence decisions on pricing, performance, and growth.
  • The opportunity to own and steer the financials of your product areas, with empowerment to shape direction and challenge the status quo.
  • A highly qualified, experienced Finance Advice team, where you will learn from strong peers and contribute to a high‑performance culture.
  • Cross‑functional exposure to Product, Retail, Risk, and Group Finance — giving you a broad understanding of ING’s PI and PB business.
  • Strong development opportunities, including learning, mentorship, and the chance to take on increasingly strategic responsibilities.
  • Competitive compensation aligned with job grade 10–11, plus relocation support for international candidates.
